Conflicts

I am not an atheist. I am not a believer either. Whether God exists or not is a conflicting question in my mind. It is a result of thousand other questions arising in my mind time and again. The complicated existence of life, the sophisticated diversity of species and every tiniest detail of the entire universe are all wonders to me. Why are we humans so intelligent both intellectually and emotionally? I strongly believe in the theory of evolution. We have evolved so much to be what we are today. May be we are still in the process of evolution. My question is, why did only monkeys as a species evolve to become humans? Why aren’t the other animals and birds evolving enough to be something equivalent to humans? But for a creator, how would it have all been possible?Science alone is no answer to everything. So there is indeed some power that is designing it all. Or may be this is all just how it is meant to be.

I honestly don’t like the term God. Coined by someone, it’s just a term used to refer to the supreme power. One thing I know for sure is,whether God exists or not, whether God created us or not, his/her/its duty is not sitting up there and watching over us to see if we are right or wrong. We have our own power of decision and above all, our conscience. Our deeds decide for us. I believe in energy. And to me, this energy is God. The best forms of energy according to me are our thoughts and emotions. And to me, emotions are forms of thoughts. We love someone because we think we love someone. Same is the case with hatred, or for any forms of emotion for that matter. In that case, love, hatred, sadness, affection, respect, fear, are all our thoughts. This implies, these are all forms of energy. You think good of a person, and that thought emits positive energy, and vice versa.

Another thing I believe in is, what goes around, comes around. In other words, Newton’s third law on motion, every action has an equal and opposite reaction, applied to non-physical actions. Some call it Karma. So according to my theory, you hurt someone and if that causes hatred or sadness in that person, he or she emits a negative energy for you, which is definitely going to get back to you in an equal amount of pain or plight. And this should be the factor inducing fear in us regarding making decisions if something is right or wrong. Not something we humans created by the name of God should become the deciding factor. Well, everyone may not agree to me. Especially the thoughts of those who are strong believers will definitely conflict with my thoughts.

Believing or not believing is our individual choices. If you are a believer and think that God created us, then you should also know thatGod is someone who would never want you to fight over him. God would never want you to be doing wrong. And if you are a non- believer, you still got to respect and be good to your fellow beings. Because there is indeed something called conscience. We don’t die and go to hell or heaven. We don’t get reborn either. The result of whatever we do pays off in this one single life we have. So let us be good and do good. And the best done is done with no expectations.
